Today we will be doing some career testing with Coach Mac.  1st and 4th periods are going to the Media Center to complete the KUDER career assessment online.  While down there, students will check out their Accelerated Reader books for this quarter.  The books must be at least 120 pages or more, 5th grade reading level or higher, and at least 2 points on the AR scale.  I will be giving them the assignment sheet for this project tomorrow.  The due date for this project will be March 21st, just before Spring Break.  We did one of these during the first quarter of the first semester, so this shouldn’t be a new concept.  Make sure the book is one you have not read and tested on previously.  You must bring the book with you to class daily to read during free reading times.

I had a comment on the blog this weekend that I would like to address.  I apologize for not posting Friday’s work on here.  Being the weekend, it slipped my mind.  Here you go:

For the past two days, we have been doing research in class and discussing the proper ways to document sources in a Works Cited section for the state brochure that is due on Friday.  I hope that all students have used the time in the media center wisely in order to gather their information and prepare their products for Monday.  They will be collected Monday morning when class begins.  Have a good weekend.
